Shoreline Pink Salmon Fishing and Portable Toilets

What Is the Connection Between Pink Salmon and Portable Toilets?

The answer is that starting Monday, fishing for pink salmon around Marine Area 9 on Whidbey’s Admiralty Inlet in state of Washington must be done from the shore. No boats or floating devices can be used.

More people fishing from the shore means a greater demand for portable toilets at these popular fishing spots. Orders have been placed to lease them. It was known that this was going to happen, but it is about 2 weeks earlier than originally anticipated.

It has been a bad fishing season in this area. And the Chinook season is closed.
